Part-time
Educational Training Mixed Media (drama, art or music).
The minimum age required for the part-time training is
21. Each student is assessed at the beginning of the training to
assertain his or her level of competency.
The students graduate as a Creative Arts Therapist in their own modality,
that is as a drama therapist, art therapist or music therapist. However,
the set up of the part time training differs from the full time course.
Students studying different art forms follow one ‘mixed media’ training
together. Each art form is its own source of inspiration and every
student develops their own competencies in their art form. Whilst
practicing as a Creative Arts Therapist, there tends to be cooperation
between different art forms. The ‘mixed media’ program serves the needs
of the work place by establishing this link already during the training.
Process of Learning.
The student’s
process of learning will be recorded in a ‘portfolio’, as is done in the
full-time training. A work experience placement of 12 hours a week is
required after the beginning of the training.
Days of Training.
The part time
training begins in September 2006. Tuesday evening and Wednesday during
the day are the study days. After 1˝ years, the training on Tuesday
evenings comes to an end (due to the beginning of the work placement).
Degrees.
The
educational training of Creative Art Therapist requires the following
degrees:
-
Dutch
secondary educational programs of VWO, HAVO or completed MBO grant
admission to higher education at HAN (“Hogeschool van Arnhem en

-
A foreign

If you have a foreign diploma, this needs to be evaluated by the SIA
(Studenten Inschrijf Administratie) (link). German diplomas are accepted
without this evaluation.
Foreign students are also required to pass the NT2 language course for
Dutch as a second language. All the classes of the creative arts therapy
training are taught in Dutch. A Dutch language course (exam NT2) is
therefore recommended to foreigns students who wish to follow the
training. Eurolinguist offers a summer course aimed at German students
you need to pay for this yourself (link
